If your distribution or trading business has outgrown Marg ERP 9+, Varisya Enterprise Tech Solutions moves you onto the Nidhi Suite: books, inventory, billing and point of sale in one system. We migrate your masters, opening balances, batch-wise stock, GST invoice history and open bills, and run both side by side until the numbers match. Migration is included in every annual plan, from ₹39,000/year.
Marg ERP 9+, from Marg Compusoft, is widely used by Indian pharma and FMCG distributors, stockists, wholesalers and retailers for GST billing, batch-wise inventory and accounts. Most businesses that look for an alternative are not unhappy with Marg. They have grown past the job it was bought for. These are the signs we hear most often:
If one or two of these are true, a different Marg edition or add-on may be enough. If most are true, the move is to a system that runs the whole operation — and that is what we do.
| Stay on Marg (upgrade or add-on) | Nidhi Suite with Varisya | |
|---|---|---|
| Best when | Marg covers your billing, batches and branches and you need one more feature | Orders, branch stock, schemes and approvals have spread into Excel and WhatsApp |
| Data move | Stays in Marg, no migration | Migrated for you, reconciled against Marg, included in the plan |
| Scope | Billing, inventory, accounts and GST | Nidhi Books, Nidhi Inventory, Nidhi Billing and Nidhi POS, plus Nidhi Storefront and Nidhi Ecommerce if you sell online |
| Changes to fit your process | What your edition and partner add-ons offer | Ongoing customisation in the annual retainer |
| Users | Per the licence you buy | Unlimited users on every plan |
| Who you call | Your Marg partner | A team that knows your system, with priority support on Professional and above |
| Deployment | Per your Marg edition | Cloud or your own servers — your choice |
How data comes out of Marg depends on your version and modules, so the assessment confirms the export route first. We then map each item below field by field, migrate it, and check it against Marg before you switch.

| Branches and bill series | Branches, locations and document series | Numbering continues cleanly after go-live |
| Expiry tracking, schemes, salesman and route reports, custom bill formats | Configured, recreated in Nidhi Invoice Designer, built as a customisation, or retired | Agreed item by item in the assessment |
Your Marg data is never deleted. It stays where it is, so older years remain readable and your CA can still open them.
If you're a pharma or FMCG distributor on Marg with more than one location, orders arriving on WhatsApp and schemes or collections tracked in Excel, Varisya fits, because the gap is not billing — it's everything around it. The Nidhi Suite runs books, stock, billing and point of sale in one system, with unlimited users and ongoing customisation in the retainer. See how this works for distributors.
If you run a single pharmacy counter and Marg does everything you need, stay on Marg. No migration, and your team keeps the same habits. We would rather tell you that in the assessment than move a business that didn't need it.
If your billing is fine in Marg but operations run on spreadsheets, start with Excel to automation. On Tally or Busy instead? See migrating from Tally ERP 9 or the Busy alternative.
No separate migration project fee. Every plan is annual, includes unlimited users, and runs on cloud or your own servers. Prices exclude GST.

We're a distributor with three branches on Marg. Is it worth moving, or should we just upgrade Marg?
If Marg handles your billing, batches and branches well and you only need a feature from another Marg edition, upgrading through your Marg partner is the simpler step. Moving to the Nidhi Suite makes sense when the work has spread around Marg: orders on WhatsApp, branch stock reconciled in Excel, schemes and approvals tracked by hand, or an online store that cannot feed stock directly. The free assessment tells you which side you are on.
Can our GST invoice history come across from Marg?
Yes. The sales and purchase vouchers behind your GST returns, with GSTINs, HSN codes and tax splits, are migrated into Nidhi Books for the years you choose. The returns you actually filed stay on the GST portal as the official record, and your Marg data is kept untouched so older years stay readable.
How does the data actually come out of Marg?
It depends on your Marg version and the modules you run, so we check it first rather than promise a method. Marg can export reports and entries to Excel, and the assessment works out the cleanest route for masters, stock and vouchers in your installation. Everything we take out is reconciled against Marg before you switch.
We sell batch-wise stock with expiry dates. Does batch-level stock move across?
Batch-wise closing stock moves into Nidhi Inventory and is checked batch by batch against Marg. How you manage expiry going forward, including near-expiry reports, is agreed item by item in the assessment and configured or built as part of the ongoing customisation in your plan.
Our billing staff only know Marg. How long until they are comfortable?
That depends on the team, so we do not promise a number. We train them during the parallel run on your own parties, items and invoices rather than a demo company, and you switch over only when they are comfortable and the numbers match.
