Busy alternative · Migration included

The Busy alternative for a business that has outgrown it — moved across, not retyped.

If your business has outgrown Busy accounting software, Varisya Enterprise Tech Solutions moves you onto the Nidhi Suite: books, inventory, billing and point of sale in one system. We migrate your masters, opening balances, GST invoice history, stock and open bills, and run both side by side until the numbers match. Migration is included in every annual plan, from ₹39,000/year.

When to look for a Busy alternative

Busy is good accounting software. The question is whether accounting is still your whole problem.

Busy, from Busy Infotech, is widely used by Indian traders, distributors and small manufacturers for GST billing, inventory and accounts. Most businesses that look for an alternative are not unhappy with Busy. They have grown past the job it was bought for. These are the signs we hear most often:

If one or two of these are true, a higher Busy edition may be enough. If most are true, the move is to a system that runs the whole operation — and that is what we do.

What moves across

Every Busy record mapped to its place in the Nidhi Suite

Busy exports masters and transactions as XML, and lists and reports to Excel. We map each item below field by field, migrate it, and check it against Busy before you switch.

Your Busy data is never deleted. It stays where it is, so older years remain readable and your CA can still open them. One thing to know early: Busy's own FAQ notes that data export is available in the Standard and Enterprise editions, not Basic — if you are on Busy Basic, the assessment covers how your data comes out first.

Five steps from Busy to go-live

Who this is for

Is Varisya the right Busy alternative for you?

If you're a distributor or trader on Busy with a head office and one or more branches, orders arriving on WhatsApp and dispatch tracked in Excel, Varisya fits, because the gap is not accounting — it's everything around it. The Nidhi Suite runs books, stock, billing and point of sale in one system, with unlimited users and ongoing customisation in the retainer. This is common among distributors and manufacturers.

If Busy does everything you need and you only want a feature from a higher edition, upgrade through your Busy dealer instead. No migration, and your team keeps the same habits. We would rather tell you that in the assessment than move a business that didn't need it.

If your accounts are fine in Busy but operations run on spreadsheets, start with Excel to automation. On Tally instead? See migrating from Tally ERP 9.

Common questions

Frequently asked about leaving Busy

We've run on Busy for years — should we move to a bigger Busy edition or switch to a different ERP?

If Busy does what you need and you only want more features, such as the multi-branch option, moving up to a higher Busy edition through your Busy dealer is the simpler step. Switching to the Nidhi Suite makes sense when the business has outgrown accounting-first software: stock, billing, branches, online orders and approvals run outside Busy, reports are rebuilt in Excel, or the changes you need are not possible in a packaged product. The free assessment tells you which side you are on.

Can our GST invoice history come across from Busy?

Yes. The sales and purchase vouchers behind your GST returns, with GSTINs, HSN codes and tax splits, are migrated into Nidhi Books for the years you choose. The returns you actually filed stay on the GST portal as the official record, and your Busy data is kept untouched so older years stay readable.

How does the data actually come out of Busy?

Busy can export masters and transactions as XML and lists and reports to Excel from its Data Export/Import options. According to Busy's own FAQ, export is available in the Standard and Enterprise editions but not in Basic, so if you are on Busy Basic the assessment covers how your data comes out first. We map the export into the Nidhi Suite and reconcile it against Busy before you switch.

We run head office and branches on Busy. Can that move as one system?

Yes. In the assessment we decide with you whether each Busy company or branch becomes a branch or location under one company in the Nidhi Suite, or stays a separate company, for example where each branch has its own GSTIN. The aim is that inter-branch stock and combined reports stop depending on a sync between separate installations.

Our staff know Busy keyboard shortcuts by heart. How long until they are comfortable?

That depends on the team, so we do not promise a number. What we do is train them during the parallel run, on your own parties, items and invoices rather than a demo company, and you switch over only when they are comfortable and the numbers match.

What does moving from Busy cost with Varisya?

There is no separate migration fee. Migration is included in every annual plan: Essential from ₹39,000/year, Professional ₹79,000/year and Enterprise custom from ₹1,49,000/year. Prices exclude GST and every plan includes unlimited users.
